Escape to Villa Asmara, set among emerald rice fields near the village of Canggu on Bali’s southern coast. The peaceful, spiritual and welcoming village offers a glimpse of Bali in the days before its rise to tourism. Undisturbed by the growing popularity of Bali, the village embodies all things natural, boasting a gorgeous beach five minutes away from the villa, and a world-class golf course with three spectacular cliff-top holes to take in the lushness of the land. While Canggu offers several excellent places to eat, Seminyak resort features a fantastic array of bars and restaurants and is only 15 minutes away.
The beautiful ironwood five bedroom residence was designed in the style of a Balinese temple compound with separate, smaller pavilions centered around one main, larger pavilion. Two of the pavilions are completely hidden among palm trees and flowering shrubs, serving as an exquisite, private location for two of the bedroom suites, while the third pavilion houses the sensual spa. The main pavilion is home to three bedroom suites, perfect for large families to separate while still remaining in close contact. Revel in the tropical mix of contemporary and modern styles, with authentic decorative accessories that root the home firmly in its surroundings. The dining veranda on the first floor overlooks the gardens, furnished with a beautiful wooden table and chairs. In fact, you can find lots of comfortable seating areas for relaxing, socializing, or quietly reading a book. The bedrooms are all cool and romantic with canopy beds, luxurious furnishings and superb private bathrooms.
Venture outdoors and you’ll be enraptured by the lush, manicured gardens, crisscrossed stone paths leading to pretty fishponds, and shady nooks where you won’t be disturbed. The elegant swimming pool, furnished with chic, contemporary lounge chairs and parasols is overlooked by a giant Buddha head. It is a true island getaway, close enough to city adventure yet far enough away from the crowds, allowing you to get back to the simplicity of vacationing.
