The climate is ideal year round on St. Maarten, like many other islands in the Caribbean. The average annual temperature is around 81°F, peaking at about 90°F, and temperatures rarely dip below 68°F. There is no real rainy season as showers tend to remain rather short, but the island has two seasons throughout the year. The dry season is from December to April, and the wintering season from May to November. Although the dry season attracts more tourists, during the wintering season you can find temperatures are higher throughout the day, making for beautiful swimming weather and balmy nights.
